Who we built this for
The couple who built a pretty damn good life and somehow lost each other inside of it.
You love each other.
But marriage has become a lot of work and not nearly enough us.
She feels like she’s carrying too much.
He feels like nothing he does is ever enough.
She brings something up. He gets defensive.
She gets louder, sharper, or colder. He shuts down or pushes back.
- You keep score.
- You have the same fights with slightly different details.
- Most conversations are about kids, schedules, logistics, or what needs to get done.
- You touch less.
- Sex is rare, cold, pressured, avoided, or another item on somebody’s to-do list.
And somewhere underneath all of it is the question:
How did we get everything we wanted and somehow lose us?
That’s who we built Married, Better. for.
That’s us. Join.Why couples struggle
Most couples aren’t struggling because they don’t love each other or chose the wrong partner.
They’re struggling because marriage asks us to do a whole bunch of things no one ever taught us how to do.
Most of us learned how to be married by watching our parents, who learned by watching theirs.
Then we fell in love, got married, added careers, kids, mortgages, mental load, money, sex, aging parents, and about 10,000 logistical decisions…
and expected love to carry the whole thing.
Love matters. But love is not a skill set.
- Handling conflict is a skill.
- Creating emotional safety is a skill.
- Sharing the weight of a family is a skill.
- Staying friends is a skill.
- Protecting intimacy is a skill.
And skills can be learned.
That’s why we built Married, Better.
So, what is Married, Better.?
It’s the marriage education we wish every couple got before they desperately needed it.
Married, Better. is a comprehensive 3-month coaching program that combines an 8-module video course, practical tools, community support, and weekly access to expert couples coaches — both licensed marriage and family therapists — so you can get better at what actually makes love last.
We’re Lindley and Jess, licensed marriage and family therapists who have spent years working with couples.
Different people. Different stories.
Remarkably similar patterns.
And after years of watching couples get stuck in those patterns, we realized something:
Most couples don’t need another hour talking about last Tuesday’s fight.
They need to know how to handle next Tuesday’s fight differently.

So we took the skills we’ve spent years teaching couples privately and built one practical system that helps you get good at them.
- No endless processing.
- No vague advice to “communicate better.”
- No pretending a date night will fix years of resentment.
Actual skills. Taught in the order you need them.

The Married, Better. method
8 modules. The skills we believe every marriage needs.
In the order you need them. Open any module to see what you’ll learn.
01Design your realityStop trying to manage each other. Start leading yourself.
Learn what real boundaries are, what belongs to you, what belongs to your spouse, and how to stop carrying responsibilities, emotions, and problems that were never yours to carry.
02Stop managing each otherMove from reminders, correcting, checking, and waiting to real personal ownership.
It's easy for couples to fall into a pattern where one person starts carrying more, tracking more, reminding more, and worrying more, while the other starts relying on that system.
Nobody sat down and chose it. But over time, it creates resentment on both sides.
Learn how to recognize your part in the pattern, take responsibility for what belongs to you, and give your spouse room to do the same.
Less managing. More ownership. More respect.
03Create relational safetyBecome someone your spouse can trust when things get hard.
Learn to stay present and grounded instead of disappearing, overpowering, defending, or reacting.
Because safety isn't the absence of hard moments.
It's trusting what happens next, so your body can relax and soften into your partner.
04Handle emotions wellLearn how to be there for each other without fixing, defending, shutting down, or exploding.
Learn how to really see your spouse when they're hurting, and how to let yourself be seen when you're the one who hurts.
How to listen. How to ask for what you need. How to respond without making the moment worse.
You don't need to solve every emotion. You need to know what to do with one.
05Have the best fight of your lifeYou're going to disagree. Get good at it.
Stop treating conflict like a courtroom where somebody has to win.
Learn our Witness → Witness → Collaborate framework so both people can be understood, problems can actually get solved, and the same fight doesn't keep showing up in different clothes.
06Become co-executivesBuild a life that feels like it belongs to both of you.
Kids. Calendar. House. Money. Meals. School. Travel. Extended family. Holidays. Marriage.
A shared life needs shared leadership.
Learn how to replace reminders, resentment, mental load, and scorekeeping with real ownership, where both people notice what needs to happen, take initiative, and follow through.
Less managing. Less scorekeeping. More “we've got this.”
07More than roommatesGet back to actually liking each other.
It's possible to become incredibly efficient at running a life together while slowly losing the relationship underneath it.
Rebuild the friendship, affection, curiosity, laughter, touch, and fun that got buried under everything that needed to get done.
Before you fix the sex, stop being strangers.
08Want each other againBuild the connection that makes desire feel natural again.
Sex doesn't live in a vacuum.
Resentment matters. Pressure matters. Exhaustion matters. Safety matters. Friendship matters. Partnership matters.
When the relationship underneath sex changes, intimacy can stop feeling like pressure, rejection, obligation, or another item on the to-do list. It can become an expression of the connection you've rebuilt.
Sex is an outward expression of an inward connection.
How it works
This isn’t a course you watch. It’s a program you practice.
Insight is great.
But insight at 10 a.m. doesn’t help much if you have no idea what to do when the fight starts at 7:30 p.m.
We teach you the skill. You practice it in your actual marriage.
When you get stuck, you bring it to us and support from other couples who are putting in the work.
That’s the program.
8-module video course
Short, practical video lessons you move through at your own pace over three months.
Exercises + real-world tools
Scripts, assessments, exercises, and practices that help you use what you're learning in your actual marriage.
Weekly group coaching for men + women
Separate spaces for husbands and wives to ask real questions, work through what's coming up, and get support.
Live office hours with us
Bring us the fight. The question. The situation you don't know how to handle.
We'll help you figure out what to do next.
The Married, Better. community
A private community of people doing the same work you are. Not a place to complain about your spouse.
A place to get better at being one.
Want to keep going?
After completing the program, stay in the community with continued group access and live calls for $99/month.
What can change?
We’re not promising you’ll never fight or magically erase patterns you’ve practiced for years.
We’re teaching you what to do differently.
- Handle yourself better.
- Create more safety.
- Fight better.
- Share the load.
- Repair faster.
- Actually enjoy each other again.
- Build a relationship where affection and desire have room to come back.
We’re not promising a perfect marriage.
We don’t believe in one.
We’re teaching you how to build a much better one.
Better partners. Better friends. Better lovers.
